Zaf Painting paints rendered surfaces across Sydney and the inner west, including rendered houses, facades, front fences and strata buildings. We prepare the render properly, fill the fine cracks and finish the wall with a Dulux membrane-style coating that fills the cracks and works like a membrane over the surface.
Why Rendered Walls Need Their Own Paint System
Hairline cracks are normal in render. When paint goes over those cracks without them being filled, the cracks show back through the new finish within months.
On render we use a Dulux membrane-style coating. It fills the fine cracks and works like a membrane over the render, so the wall is left with an even colour and the hairline cracks are covered.

How We Prepare Render Before Painting
Preparation is the key factor in how long the finish on render lasts, and these are the steps we follow.
- We inspect the render with you, note the cracks, stains and any loose paint, and agree on the colour and the areas to be painted.
- We wash the walls to remove dirt, chalky residue and mould staining where the surface needs it.
- We scrape back loose and flaking paint.
- We fill the hairline cracks so they sit flush with the wall.
- We apply a sealer or primer where the render is bare or powdery.
- We apply the membrane-style coating in the number of coats the surface needs, then walk the finished walls with you before we pack up.
Garden beds, paths, windows and fittings are covered before painting begins, and we clean up before we leave.
