Strata managers and committees need a painter who is organised and easy to deal with. When we quote a strata building, we:
- Walk the property with the strata manager or a committee representative and look at every surface in the scope
- Provide a detailed written quote with a clear scope of work that the committee can compare and approve
- Provide our insurance certificate of currency, and documentation and method statements when the strata manager asks for them
- Keep the strata manager updated while the painting is underway and raise anything unexpected as soon as we find it

Painting Strata Common Areas Without Shutting Them Down
Lobbies, stairwells, corridors and lift lobbies are the busiest parts of a strata building, and residents still need to use them while the painting is done. We paint common areas in stages so they are never fully out of action. We discuss access with the strata manager before we start, and we leave common areas clean and usable at the end of every day.
In common areas we paint walls, ceilings, doors, door frames, handrails and skirting. We also patch and paint small damage, such as the holes left when a door handle has gone through a corridor wall, and we clean up walls that have been marked by mould and water damage before they are repainted.
Strata Exterior Painting for Rendered and Brick Buildings
A strata building exterior has more surface exposed to the weather than a single home, so the preparation on a strata facade has to be thorough. We clean, fill, sand and prime every surface before painting. On rendered facades we use a Dulux membrane-style coating that fills the fine cracks and works like a membrane over the render.
